Brilliant articulation of something that so many of us struggle with or have struggled with. I remember when I had the epiphany that my to-do list would always have things on it and that was the nature of life: there were always going to be things I “got” to do. That helped stop me from feeling like I was lacking in someway because I wasn’t completing it. And that helped me see more conditioning in basing enoughness in accomplishment! That was a great discernment you spoke to too: the difference between the enoughness of our personhood vs the enoughness of what we can accomplish in our lifetime. Anyway, I’ve written a whole novel here! Thank you for this rich post!
Thank you for your thoughtful and kind comments! Isn’t it funny how that epiphany is not so easy to come by. It seems so obvious, and yet when we’re in the thick of things, we don’t have the perspective to see we’re fighting a never-ending battle against ourselves. I still need to remind myself of this, but at least I’m getting better at listening to my own inner guidance system.
Love this and your words resonated deeply. I found myself nodding along with each line (and sometimes more like punching the air - yes, exactly! :D). Thanks for sharing. You ARE enough and I am glad you exist.
So glad this resonated! But I wish it didn’t have to because you too are enough! Let’s keep reminding ourselves, and each other. I’m glad you exist too! 😊
I’m reading Self-Compassion by Kristin Neff at the moment and a lot of what you say is reflected in that. One thing she says that really resonated is that you don’t have to be special - it’s OK to be average (at least in some things). Thanks for sharing. Yours is definitely a message I need to hear x
I’m so glad to hear this landed with you. I think we all need to hear this message from time to time. And thanks for the reminder that you don’t have to be “special.” I do believe that we are all unique in some way and that’s good enough for me!

Excellent post! We all need to look in the mirror and remind ourselves “You are enough — always, no matter what!”
Absolutely we do! Sometimes it’s easier said than done, but I believe we’ll get better with practice. 😉
Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot.
